Designing Dignity at the Haven

At Thomas Interiors, we are proud to help create environments where people feel safe, respected, and supported. We celebrate the opening of The Haven on Lincoln, Chicago's newest transitional housing facility, and are grateful to have been part of this incredible project. The Haven is the first of its kind in the city, providing a private bedroom and bathroom to each resident.

The adaptive reuse of the former Diplomat Motel transformed a long-vacant property into a welcoming community with 37 private rooms. Combined with on-site healthcare, case management, and supportive services, the facility offers residents privacy, dignity, and a foundation to build upon.

Thomas Interiors provided furniture solutions that complement the project's mission. From comfortable resident rooms to inviting shared spaces, every piece was selected to balance durability and functionality with a warm, residential feel. Thoughtful, informed design choices play an important role in promoting well-being and fostering meaningful human connection.
